Spring 2026 Handmade Marketplace Applications Open!

Fall 2024 Handmade Marketplace in the Horizon Hall Atrium

Every semester, the MIX hosts the Handmade Marketplace—a one‑day event showcasing more than 20 student and faculty entrepreneurs from across the Mason community. Past vendors have included groups such as the Sustainability Office Greenhouse, which offered plants and seedlings, as well as individual makers representing a vibrant mix of Mason faculty, staff, and students. Their offerings have ranged from custom-designed jewelry, clothing, and beauty products to handmade trinkets and original or printed artwork. Together, these vendors highlight the entrepreneurial spirit that thrives within GMU.

The Handmade Marketplace is designed to connect the Mason community with individuals and micro‑businesses creating hand‑crafted, locally made, and small‑batch items. Through this event, the MIX contributes to the growing movement of custom creations and artisan goods, while fostering the creativity, problem‑solving, and innovation demonstrated by the makers who participate.

Apply here before the deadline, April 1st, for the Spring 2026 MIX Handmade Marketplace taking place on Tuesday, April 21st, from 12-6pm in the Horizon Hall Atrium.
