In Episode 12 of the MIX Podcast, the MIX Manager, Dr. Max Kazemzadeh sits down to talk with ⁠Dr. Quentin Sanders⁠, a jointly appointed GMU Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering & BioEngineering. A valued supporter and user of the MIX and its equipment, Dr. Sanders shares some of the most exciting areas of his research and how the MIX plays a pivotal role in developing his prototypes, supporting his students work and research, and more.

Dr. Sanders received his bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2015, and his master’s and PhD in Mechanical engineering from the University of California, Irvine in 2018 and 2020, respectively. Prior to joining the Department of Bioengineering Sanders spent a year working at X, the moonshot factory (formerly Google X) in addition to conducting research as a post-doctoral scholar in the joint biomedical engineering program between the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, and North Carolina State University.
