Rocketry @ the MIX
Every Friday, members of George Mason University’s High Powered Rocketry Registered Student Organization (RSO) meet in the MIX to design, build, test, and prepare their rockets for launch. The club’s enthusiastic members work collaboratively on rocket projects, plan upcoming launches, troubleshoot designs, and share their passion for rocketry and engineering.
In this demonstration, students show how to launch a recently assembled rocket featuring several components reused from a previous launch—a great example of the hands-on, iterative approach that makes the club so engaging. With an active membership and plenty of energy, High Powered Rocketry is one of the many student organizations making the MIX a hub for hands-on experimentation, collaboration, and innovation at Mason.
