Honey Bee Initiative with the Early Identification Program (EIP)

On July 16th and 21st, the MIX hosted the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE)’s Early Identification Program (EIP) to teach them about the Honey Bee Initiative. During the event, students were provided an introduction to the CIE and experiential learning opportunities within entrepreneurship.

On July 21st from, 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m, CIE provided 50 students DIY bee hotels kits and a subsequent sales event (selling CIE products) in Wilkins Plaza near the clock tower. Students used the MIX Makerspace to build and conduct pricing research on bee hotels during the sales event.

Previously on July 16th, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., the CIE team provided the EIP students an overview of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship resources, an overview of the Honey Bee Initiative, and other entrepreneurial resources available to George Mason students such as the Masterminds program and the MIX.
