The second node in the MIX network is the MIX@Fenwick, a 14,000-square foot student-centered collaboration and maker space that is the center of gravity for entrepreneurship at Mason. Located in the center of the Fairfax Campus, the newly-renovated MIX@Fenwick opened its doors to the Mason community in June 2017.

Originally built as a library, the building that houses the MIX@Fenwick was ripe for renewal. We have completely rethought the purpose of this building, converting it from a 20th-century knowledge center into a 21st-century collaboration hub. MIX@Fenwick brings together spaces for co-working, collaboration, and experiential learning. It is the place at Mason where multi-disciplinary groups come together to develop ideas, research problems, craft solutions, and start companies.
